Platoon Structure
A small note: All Sergeant-positions and lower are filled by NPC's but can be applied for by normal PC's should you like to join the 3rd Platoon.
Command Staff
The Command Staff of the 3rd Platoon, also shortened as COMMSTA, consist of Second Lieutenant Nesota Kynnovan and Master Sergeant Travis Fyaar. The Command Staff usually stays attached to the Command Staff of the C-Company; using the safety of their Makeshift Headquarters to their advantage.
However, there have been situations in the future where the 3rd Platoon Command Staff was forced to detach from the C-Company Headquarters to achieve certain goals or when they were needed close to the Battlefield. During those circumstances both Second Lieutenant Nesota Kynnovan and Master Sergeant Travis Fyaar constructed a small, makeshift Command Post of their own, relying on Soldiers from the C-Company to keep them and their Command Post secured.
Aurek "Amber"Squad
Aurek Squad, commanded by the friendly, caring Sergeant Kyle Shysa is one of the two Light Infantry Squads of the 3rd Platoon, more commonly considered the two "fists" of the 3rd Platoon. Used to working under conditions and stress which are so great that the more heavily armed Squads of the 1st and 2nd Platoons cannot handle them made the two "fists" of the 3rd Platoon capable of delivering a good, surprisingly hard punch should the situation ever require it.
The Aurek Squad, more commonly dubbed "Amber Squad" by Second Lieutenant Kynnovan, is more commonly considered the "right fist" of the 3rd Platoon due to their advantage in experience over the fresher Privates of the Dorn Squad. This advantage, known throughout the entire 3rd Platoon, created an often friendly rivalry between the Aurek and Dorn Squads which cause them to often butt heads and make competitions out of even the simplest things like lavatory duty... often either behind the back of Lieutenant Kynnovan or much to her personal dismay.
Imperial personnel from the Aurek Squad, most notably Sergeant Kyle Shysa and Private First Class Durame Tichinde, recently became deeply involved into the mess of Operation: Iron Bantha that claimed the life of Imperial General Rylan Voru.
Besh "Beryl" Squad
Besh Squad, commanded by the laconic Sergeant Kel Harna, are the so-called "Shadow Runners" of the 3rd Platoon. Although far from being an elite Sniper Team the small group of marksmen saved the lives of everyone in the 3rd Platoon more than once; be it with discovered intelligence or a well-placed Blaster Bolt.
Besh Squad, often and more commonly dubbed "Beryl Squad" by Second Lieutenant Kynnovan, is more commonly considered the "deadly gaze" of the 3rd Platoon. This small group of people works together very closely, both gunner and spotter having their lives depending on each other and their Squad mates. As such the Imperial personnel serving in the Besh Squad is a very close group of people that would go through the fires of hell and back should it be asked by one of their teammates.
Unfortunately it happened, much to the personal dismay of Second Lieutenant Nesota Kynnovan, that one of the Besh Squad members got into an argument with an Imperial from a different branch while off-duty. An argument that would eventually lead to a push... a push that eventually let to a punch and a punch that lead to the whole Besh Squad, including Sergeant Harna, flying towards the throat of the people part of the "enemy" group.
Large reprimands on the side of Besh Squad and the other side of the fight usually stayed off with Second-Lieutenant Kynnovan not wanting to send a complaint to superiors to save her reputation and Captain Kirrahe Rentola, her direct superior, waving it off as a "miscommunication" after having talked with the Officer responsible for "the other side".
Cresh "Crystal" Squad
Cresh Squad, commanded by the strict Sergeant Juliana Avins, are the specialised Combat Engineers of the 3rd Platoon. While both the Aurek and Dorn Squads have their own Combat Engineer and Besh Squad improvises with "someone that knows something about machinery" the Cresh Squad consists of the technical specialists send in to clear obstacles and forfill objectives which go above the often limited knowledge of the flexible Combat Engineers used by the other Squads.
The Cresh Squad, more commonly dubbed "Crystal Squad", is usually considered the "muscles" of the 3rd Infantry Platoon. Although their efficiency in combat is much lower than that of the other Squads their value on the battlefield isn't underestimated by tacticians as Captain Kirrahe Rentola or the more inexperienced Second Lieutenant Nesota Kynnovan.
Dorn "Diamond" Squad
Dorn Squad, commanded by the silent, withdrawn Sergeant Jaren Farriman, is the "other fist" of the 3rd Light Infantry Platoon.
Although the Dorn Squad, also dubbed "Diamond Squad", is a Light Infantry Squad just like the Aurek Squad their name is far less known than the one of their Aurek colleagues. One of the reasons for it are the shipment of new Recruits that recently filled up the positions of transferring personnel; practically reducing Dorn Squad's status to a Rookie Squad which created some friendly, yet fierce rivalry between personnel from Dorn Squad and their colleagues from Aurek Squad.
The most notable personnel from Dorn Squad were Corporal Wain Evnairis and Private Durron Myndraav that were both arrested and executed by the Kabray Law Enforcement upon false suspicion of a murder that wasn't even committed by Imperial personnel at all.
Access to Combat Support
Every Imperial Army unit, no matter how well-trained, could end up in a situation where immediate Combat Support. The 3rd Light Infantry Platoon is definately no exception to this rule; actually using the advantages Combat Support offers quite often.
Combat Support is a term that varies a lot though. Two examples of Combat Support are additional manpower in case Imperial personnel are threatened to be overrun and the standard precision artillery barrage. Because of C-Company's internal support Platoon, the 2nd Assault Infantry Platoon commanded by Second Lieutenant Okins Kasha, the queue for immediate backup is drastically reduced to a point where Platoon Leaders of the C-Company can request limited backup for themselves.
However, the C-Company lacked the resources to resolve the queue for artillery fire so the Platoon Leaders of the C-Company still need to request artillery fire with the C-Company Command Post, which then requests the artillery fire for them depending on the waiting queue's.
Logistical Support
Logistical Support in the C-Company consists of three primary departments; Logistics, Medical and the small but not least important Technical.
Due to the limited materials available to the Logistical Support on the first hand the Platoon Leaders have to request support from the C-Company Command Post which, given the waiting queue, will decide whether or not, and in which quantity, the requested goods will be delivered. A note to this rule is the Medical sub-branch of the Logistical Support which, given the waiting queue, is available to Platoon Leaders to request should the need for Medical assistance ever arise.
See the C-Company datapage for more information about Logistical Support.
